Privacy Statement

sunnylam.ca knows you care about how information about you is used, shared or “portrayed” so we’ll do our best to present only that which is truthful and verifiable.

Due to the fast, ever changing nature of the web it’s sometimes hard to be 100% perfect so you’ll have to forgive us.

By visiting sunnylam.ca, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

What Personal Information Do You Provide?

The only personal information you’d ever provide are your name (sometimes) and your email.

That’s it.

There are no cookies, catches or anything else.

We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site.

Is Your Personal Information Ever Shared?

Your personal information is never shared without your express permission.

Affiliated (Partner) Businesses We Do Not Control

We work closely with our affiliated businesses.

We provide services, or sell product lines jointly with these businesses.

While we make every effort to give you the best advice we can, we indemnify ourselves against any change in policy or tactics of our partners.

You are requested to do your own due diligence, if you should have any doubts.

Agents: We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mail, analysing data, processing credit card payments, and organising workshops. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.

Business Transfers: As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy companies, subsidiaries, or business units. In such transactions, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets but remains subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy Notice (unless, of course, the customer consents otherwise).

Also, in the unlikely event that sunnylam.ca, some or substantially all of its assets are acquired, customer information will of course be one of the transferred assets.

Protection of sunnylam.ca: We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; or protect the rights, property, or safety of sunnylam.ca, our users, or others.

This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Obviously, however, this does not include selling, renting, sharing, or otherwise disclosing personally identifiable information from customers for commercial purposes in violation of the commitments set forth in this Privacy Notice.

With Your Consent: Other than as set out above, you will receive notice when information about you might go to third parties, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to share the information.

How Safe and Secure is Your Information?

Only the managers of sunnylam.ca have access to the information that you give us when you subscribe or become a member.

No one else has access to this information and it will never be sold or rented to another business, government or organization for the single reason of selling things to you or making a profit.

Your information is protected by:

  • the industry standard of 128 bit SSL encryption (i.e. turning your information into secret code) on third party service providers who handle your information on our behalf (this includes our email provider).
  • secret coding your information on our hard drives and computers using AES-256 bit encryption and encrypted disk images
  • using 20 character+ length passwords that would take thousands of years to crack without a supercomputer and are thus impossible to guess
