Apple Mail Needs to Kill the Clones

Apple Mail seriously needs some sort of option to kill duplicate emails in its menu of options.  For mysterious reasons there are duplicate emails in the inbox which means that it’s taking up 2 times the space.  Even if it’s fixed that’s a lot of clearing out to do!

Does anyone have any ideas of how to fix this until one day the programmers who do Mail build in the “Kill the Clones” option?  After all the goal of design should be ease of use and convenience (and environmental, social friendliness where applicable).

So again anyone have some bright ideas on how to fix this and improve Apple Mail in other ways?  Do you know of an email client program that does a better job in this area than Apple Mail?  Drop me a line!
