Matt Thomas gives a great 5 point summary about why working for yourself is always a good idea if you’ve got the guts for it. After running across this article in my MarsEdit draft list I just had to put this out there for you guys.
5 Reasons Why You Should Keep Working for Yourself | Entre-Propel.com: “Steve Pavlina, a blogger on personal development, wrote an incredible article on why getting a job is a bad idea. This posting really motivated me to quit my job and start my own business, and I would imagine it is equally useful in keeping you from looking for a job.
Among the reasons Steve points out, I would like to add some additional reasons as well as add to his points a bit.”

Here’s a quick take of the 5 points in a nutshell:
1. You decide what your time is worth and where you decide you want to use it.
2. Don’t tie your money to your time because you’ll be working until you’re 85 — and you still won’t have a chance to enjoy life.
Enjoy life now and use your time as you see fit.
3. You choose your hours of work. Who the hell said everyone worked well 9-5 anyway?
4. You answer to only 1 person — YOU!
5. You get paid for the value you are adding. Most companies would never pay you more than what you actually earn for them.
That was invigorating! Time to get back to managing your own fate as you see fit!
